Installation of a ducted air conditioning system.

- Categories : , Site - installation

What is ducted air conditioning ?

As an ultra-discreet system, ducted air conditioning is revealed in incognito mode in interiors, unlike traditional fixed or mobile air conditioning.

There is no question here of a split or an imposing block, but of a block totally hidden in the attic or in a false ceiling and which only allows a few ventilation grilles to be seen in the house.

Here is a classic diagram of a ducted air conditioning installation

Who is ducted air conditioning intended for ?

Often installed in shops, schools and restaurants, it is a solution that can also be adapted to a home.

The duct air conditioner is a practical choice for cooling and heating large areas. Ducted air conditioning therefore provides comfort that is often beyond the reach or capacity of a wall unit; a two-storey house for example.

Indeed, in these large spaces the wall-mounted air conditioner can have difficulty providing an even air distribution.

A recent example of an installation made by Carveen

This time, we are working on a new site with our team of certified and approved refrigeration engineers. This project took place in mid-December 2022 in Wemmel.

With the help of our technical representative who had already visited the site previously, our client chose a ducted system as the air conditioning solution.

The outdoor unit is a Daikin 20kW and on the right, we can clearly see the indoor unit as well as the ducts that go to the neighboring rooms. Guaranteed operation in heating mode down to -20°C.

For other duct type installations, there are also 12.5kW, 20kW and 25kW powers in Alpha Series from Daikin. All this in single-phase or three-phase.
